When booking a chauffeur driven car or executive airport transfer, you want to know that your welfare and safety is as high a priority as the car arriving on time. With that in mind we have put together our top tips and advice for anyone looking to book a chauffeur driven car in Cambridgeshire that is not a FlexEcar.

- Ask a selection of local private hire operators to send you their literature.
- Request some sample quotations, using a variety of scenarios.
- Select three operators and visit their premises (this can be particularly revealing) and note that operators running their business from home should have planning permission to do so.
- Ask to see their licences and insurance documents.
- Check the operator has employee liability for the cars.
- Ask to inspect their vehicles (this can also be revealing).
- Require them to be contracted to you and guarantee their insurance and legal responsibilities (personally if necessary).
- Make clear your own requirements (no smoking vehicles, etc…) and make sure that you understand the operators requirements, as this is a two way agreement.
- Ask to see the operators Terms and Conditions of Transfer.
- Insist on confirmations being sent either by email or by fax.
